For my Christian Friends and Family

What do Muslims believe about Jesus?

Please know that Muslims also believe in Jesus. No Muslim is a Muslim if s/he doesn't believe in Jesus. Islam is the only non-Christian faith that makes believing in Jesus an article of faith.

We believe Jesus was one of the mightiest Messengers of God. We believe in his miraculous birth, without any male intervention. We believe he healed those born blind and the lepers by God's permission. We believe he quickened the dead, by God's permission.  We believe he was a man.

One of the main points of difference between the Christian and the non-Christian is the divinity of Jesus. It is the Islamic point of view that had Trinity (The Father as God, Jesus as God, Holy Spirit as God, being not 3 gods but one God) been the spinal cord of Christianity, Jesus would have emphasized it on many occasions and would have taught and explained it in detail to the people.  So, where does the idea of Trinity come from? Certainly, not Jesus!

Mark, Chapter 12:28-33

The Greatest Commandment

28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" 29" The most important one," answered Jesus, " is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one

30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'

31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." 32"Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him.

33To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." 34When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, " You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

You must agree, if there was ever an opportunity for Jesus to preach Trinity, this definitely would have been it!!   He didn't preach that our Lord is God, that he (Jesus) was partners with Him, either as God-incarnate or as His physical begotten son, or that the Holy Spirit was also God!  He said, " The Lord, our God, the Lord is one."

He found the Scribe to be wise when the Scribe said "God is one and there is no other but Him." It is obvious and plain that the idea of a Triune god was as foreign to Jesus as it was to his immediate followers, the Jews of the time, the Jews of today and the people who follow Jesus today, the Muslims! I invite you to follow Jesus with us! Follow Jesus who preached Islam. Follow Jesus with us, just as the Scribe did when he announced the first article of faith of Islam, when he said, "God is one and there is no other but him." which Jesus found to be wise and not far from the kingdom of God!

Being a Christian, do you believe that we must all stand accountable to our Creator and that the Creator is Perfect and Just? As a sincere believer in God, don't you owe it upon yourself to find out the entire unadulterated truth regardless of the consequences? I invite you to follow Muhammad with us, who glorifies Jesus and about whom Jesus spoke when he said, " I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me; for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it to you. All things that the Father has are mine; therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it to you." (John 16:12-15) I invite you to come to the religion of Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad, the last and final Messenger. Investigate Islam today!
